Viewing your roster

The Roster tool does not allow you to add or remove participants from your site (individually or an entire course roster). To do this, you must use Site Info.

To view your roster, in your site's menubar, click Roster.

Note: If you don't see the Roster tool listed, the site owner may have chosen not to use it. Site owners can add the Roster tool using Site Info. For instructions, see Adding, editing, or removing tools.

The view

By default, participants are separated by role, and listed alphabetically. A count of participants appears above the table to the right.

To customize the view, do the following:

  • Next to "View", use the drop-down list to select sections or groups.
  • To sort alphabetically by last name, click Name. To reverse the order, click Name again.
  • To sort alphabetically by username, click User ID. To reverse the order, click User ID again.
  • To sort alphabetically by role, click Role. To reverse the order, click Role again.

Participant images

Those who have the Instructor role in a course site have the option of viewing the official ID photos of participants. To do so, atop the Show Roster page, click Show Official ID Photo. No other role has this ability.

If no photo or image exists, you will see a "No Picture is Available" message.

To hide the the images, click Hide Pictures or Hide Official ID Photo.
